OBJECTIVES

SYNCH started an awareness program on educating medical students and then the general public on the infection. The aim was to spread the word regarding the causes, spread, prevention of the virus, through SYNCH, as soon as possible all over Pakistan.

PHASE 2

Health From Home Project

A project that involves family members that serves as a light on basic household medical awareness and direct influence to every member. Health awareness sessions were conducted by our volunteers in their respective home towns and in view of the recent situation particularly focusing on COVID-19 signs, symptoms and safety measures.
Keeping in the importance and need of the healthcare staff in the current situation we were able to respond promptly by conducting more than 150 Health From Home sessions in different cities of Punjab.

Webinar on Mental Health

Mental Health Project in times of COVID-19 was conducted by SYNCH and IFMSA-Pakistan as “LIVING THROUGH A PANDEMIC” We had our speaker Dr. Asad Tamizuddin Nizami (Head of Institute Of Psychiatry & WHO Collaborating Centre for research , BBH) to help us out through techniques recommended by World Health Organization itself on a live webinar where 800+ people joined us.

National Ration Distribution Drive during COVID-19

Ration drive for people affected by Corona Virus Pandemic .SYNCH embarks upon a National Ration Drive to provide relief for families affected during the Coronavirus pandemic. SYNCH continues to contribute to the society with its humanitarian activities and stand with people of Pakistan to get through this crisis together.

Distribution of PPE’s to Frontline Warriors

With the announcement of emergency and lack of PPEs availability in hospitals, SYNCH came forward to donate PPES and Sanitizer bottles to Jinnah hospital, Lahore and DHQ Hospital, Sahiwal to carry out their duties safely through this Pandemic. This act was greatly appreciated by hospital administration and doctors that how SYNCH has once again played a vital role in social services for the nation’s front line heroes.

Quarantine Education Project

SYNCH introduced “Quarantine Education Project” in which medical students of all years were guided about the study material, study techniques & study schedules through online sessions and live webinars
